About Conscientious Chic

November 19, 2013

I am starting this blog because I feel there has been a gap in the market for a cool, fashion focussed yet ethical blog. There are some fantastic blogs around no doubt but I aim to bring together all the information and knowledge on exercise and fitness, nutrition and ethical eating, careful choices for fashion that goes across high end designer to high street, vintage and secondhand, beauty that involves no cruelty and of course at the very centre of all this the willpower to make it all happen into one accessible site. I want to make it easy for you to find the products, eat the food and hear the latest news on ethical, conscientious living without making you feel like you might be missing out or not getting the best.

The site is about good living and being the very best person you can be. It is about the kindest choices for your body and the world around you. It is going to sound corny but it is about being beautiful inside and outside.

The hope I have is that people make informed choices as consumers and lighten their footprint upon the earth whilst leaving behind a legacy for a positive future – all whilst looking and feeling fabulous!

Please see the first blog entitled My Conscientious Credentials if you would like to know how I am qualified to speak on these issues. A brief summary is that I am a qualified Personal Trainer, Nutritionist, a vegan and I run the Associate Parliamentary Group for Animal Welfare based in Westminster, London.

Really impressed by this blog. you’ve gotten hit the nail on the head with the idea about there being a lack of information on avoiding animal pain in daily consumerism. The problem is that there are not enough people thinking about the impact of their purchasing food and clothes etc even when they love animals. ANything that can bring awareness about this is great! Keep writing and hopefully people will come across the blog like I did.
