There is an exhibition starting on Friday and going on until Sunday called Be:Fit. It is female focussed event on health, fitness and nutrition where there will be lots of stands offering products, classes and general advice and discussion groups. Tickets are priced around £18 but there are Groupon offers giving 2 tickets for £20. It is at the Old Billingsgate which is a very nice exhibition centre and easy to get to.
I am going simply for the food – there are bounds to be loads of food stands with healthy snacks and offerings plus smoothies galore! Oh and I bet there will be some hot fitness clothing brands because I am getting bored of my gym kit at the moment and feel it needs a spring overhaul!

This was a nice enough event but the venue was too small for the amount of stands and people in attendance so I did not stay long as I hate crowds and it made it difficult to see things. I think it definitely has scope to grow and even people who are not that into fitness or training would like all the interesting food and samples on offer. Best result was free ChiaPods being handed out which are normally £2.50 each and lots of different nut and energy bars.
I went along to this and though exactly the same, I was just about the ask you what you thought. I drank a hell of a lot of coconut water samples – such a trend drink, there must have been about 5 stands all selling it. I felt it was missing an advice point – I wanted to have experts on hand to talk to and ask questions to – maybe I missed it but I did walk around three times. Everyone wants to sell stuff relating to health but there is never any central place to find out what is good and what is just marketing.
